Gratitude has many effects and functions.

It opens our heart/mind, allowing us to be more receptive.

And this… Helps us open to the wider world – we see the seamless whole of the inner and outer world. Gives us a sense of fulfillment and richness – nothing is missing in gratitude. Opens us for compassion, sincerity and a sense of connection with others and the larger whole.
