Be Right or Happy
You can be right or be happy.
One way to interpret this, which I have seen a couple of times, is that I’ll pretend I am not right, just to create peace between us (and secretly resent it).
The other, which fits my experience, is I believe I am right, which creates stress and discomfort. I’ll take that belief to inquiry to see what’s more true for me. And through that, I may see “I” was not right (the story doesn’t seem true for me), and I find peace. There is less struggle against reality.
In the first case, I still believe my stories and resent not expressing them. In the second, I find the stories were not true in the first place.

be right – believe I am right
inquiry – more content, less struggle against reality
