I notice that when an experience of “being paralyzed” comes up, there is usually one of two things going on.

I attach to a thought that does not correspond to what is. For instance, there is not a clear decision on a particular issue emerging and I believe “I should make a decision”.

Or, I am attached to two opposing thoughts. Such as “I should be more out in the public” and “my passion and skills is in working behind the scences”.

In both cases, the Byron Katie inquiry can be very helpful in unravelling the beliefs.
