Protection

Images and thoughts are inherently neutral, just like a tree, clouds passing through the sky, or a waterfall.

I also see that identification with these appears to be a way of protecting an imaginary me. This tendency or habit of identification is devoted to this imaginary me. It comes from love and is love.

And as soon as images and thoughts are identified with and taken as true, these too are here to protect the imaginary me. These too are devoted to the imaginary me. These too come from love, and are love.
