Jack Kornfield: To let go means to let be

To let go doesn’t mean to get rid of. To let go means to let be. When we let be with compassion, things come and go on their own.

When we let go of our battles and open our heart to things as they are, then we come to rest in the present moment. This is the beginning and the end of spiritual practice.

– Jack Kornfield

In this context, to let go means to let go of the struggle with our current experience, which means to notice and allow it and include struggle in the rest.
