Dream: Teaching qigong

I teach qigong and I love it. It feels deeply right.

This is a dream fragment and all I remember from this dream, although it may be the essence.

I love qigong and just restarted it with my old teacher. If I had stayed in Oslo in my twenties, I would very likely have continued and I may also eventually have started teaching. A part of me feels sad I didn’t continue.

In general, I love certain forms of movement explorations like tai chi, qigong, Breema, and also other approaches like Feldenkrais. The periods in life where I have delved deeply into it – tai chi and qigong in my late teens and early twenties, yoga in my mid and late twenties, Breema in my thirties, and so on – I feel far more whole, grounded, at home in my self, and so on.

I also love Taoism and related forms of exploration like tai chi and qigong. I feel deeply at home there.

The other aspect of the dream is teaching. The dream may also point to an inner push-and-pull in me. A part of me wants to stay invisible. It’s scared to be seen and attacked. (As I was so often in childhood and teens.) Another part would love to teach qigong and similar things, mostly so I can do it more and benefit from it myself. The best way to continue to learn is to teach.
