The awakeness in awakening is not special

When the consciousness we are recognizes itself, and that it forms itself into its whole world, we can label it awakening. It’s the first step in exploring how to live from and as it, and inviting our psyche and human self and life to reorganize within it.

The awakeness that’s here in awakening is the awakeness that’s here before awakening. It’s here whether it recognizes itself or not. Our nature is the same no matter what.

It’s the awakeness we are all familiar with. It’s the awakeness that’s inherent in our nature. It’s the awakeness reading and writing this. It’s the awakeness forming itself into the sound of an airplane, the sounds of the fingers tapping the keys on the keyboard, the sight of this screen, the sound and smell of the rain.

It’s the awakeness that’s here, I assume, for any consciousness, whether it’s connected to this human self, or any other human self, or any kind of “conscious” being – any being that, to themselves, are fundamentally consciousness and whose consciousness forms itself into its world.

It’s not a special awakeness, it’s the awakeness inherent in consciousness, in what we are, in our fundamental nature. It’s the awakeness that’s more familiar to us than anything else. We have never not know or experienced this awakeness. In reality, we have never known anything else than this awakeness.
