From the archive: some early drawings

I am going through some of my old things, and I have found some of my drawings from my teens and early twenties. The self-portrait above is from when I was sixteen which was later accepted into Høstutstillingen, an annual juried exhibition in Oslo. I thought the drawing was lost, but found it when I went through some old framed drawings in storage.

Above is a small selection of sketches and practice drawings. The first and last drawings are from the mirror, the second is a copy of a drawing from an old master, the third is from a photo (likely National Geographic), the fourth is a copy from an old master or a drawing from a sculpture, and the fifth is a drawing from a sculpture in the Vigeland Museum in Oslo.

Below is a mix of live drawings (studies & croquis), studies in the mirror, drawings of sculptures, drawings from photos, drawings from anatomical drawings and photos, copies of drawings of the old masters, and a few drawings from etchings and paintings of the old masters.
