What if it all falls apart?

When the massive primal survival anxiety came up in the early 2010s (after asking the divine to “show me what’s left”…!), I learned to examine the worst-case scenarios.

When I explored the realistic and catastrophic worst-case scenarios, I found they were OK.

Each one was liveable and something I could navigate, or others could navigate for me, or I would move on from this life. Each one would be fleeting, they would come to pass.

Since then, I have done the same.

What if all falls apart? What if I am left with the bare minimum? This is a fear that comes up now and then and otherwise is there as a whisper in the background. My life repeatedly fell apart during the 2010s so parts of me got a bit traumatized.

What I find is that if my health is OK, I would go to a Zen center, most likely in Spain or The Netherlands with teachers I know and like.

If not, I would be taken care of in Norway. It likely wouldn’t be that bad. I may even enjoy many aspects of it.

I also notice that the Zen Center option is something I really want to do. There is a calling to do it and my system seems to crave it. I don’t need to wait for my life to fall apart to go there. I can do it now, as soon as my life opens up a little. I may even be able to do it later this year, or at least next year.

Exploring this helps me find more peace with the imagined future. In this case, it even helped me see something I really want to do now.
