A woman is here to see me. It’s not clear at first why she is here. She says she is here because of a small newsletter I had created many years ago focusing on solution-oriented news. In the future, she had continued it and made it into something bigger, and it had a major influence on the unfolding of society.
This dream ties into my waking life in a few different ways.
Since my teens, I have wanted to see news that’s partnership oriented and solution focused. I understand that in our culture, “what bleeds leads” but there is another way, there is a market for it, and it’s hugely important.
When I post on social media, I want to post mostly on solutions, although it takes more work to find.
I am also very aware that small things can lead to big changes, and we can’t really know in advance.
Everything about me – my words, choices, and life in the world – has infinite causes. I can always find one more, and I am only aware of a tiny fraction of them. I can only guess at a tiny fraction of them.
Similarly, everything about me – my life in the world – has infinite effects, and I can only guess a tiny fraction of those too.
For instance, who knows what effects this small post on this small website about this small dream may have. Maybe little. Maybe it resonates with one person and leads to a small shift which in turns leads to a lot more. It’s impossible to know.
I don’t need to know. It’s up to life.
What I know is that this is true for my life as well. Small changes now influences how it all unfolds – my whole life in the future.
How i am now is the seed for my future life in the world.
Do I focus on solutions now? If so, that is a gift to my future self.
Note: I should mention that this is part of my motivation for the Long Journey Home project. It’s inspiring to me now, and it may also be one of many small seeds for a regenerative culture and eventually leading to a regenerative civilization.
