My wife and I are connected with a new community. It seems a lasting connection. The community is rich, deep, wise, and earth- and life-centered. Two women in the community are healers (witches). They are committed to helping me with the difficult side-effects of the awakening and transformation process. (Strong physical discomfort, disorientation, fatigue, and so on.) I go into discomfort and disorientation, someone takes me to one of the women, she guides and helps me, and I feel much better. They take turns helping me depending on what I need.
This is another in a string of recent dreams on the theme of transformation. The other ones were before and during the two EarthWorks classes I took in London last week, this one is after.
WAKING LIFE
This dream seems connected to several different things in my waking life.
CFS/ME symptoms
The side-effects of awakening and transformation in the dream describes my CFS/ME symptoms, which I have had since the awakening process started (or became visible) in my mid-teens. The processes – awakening, transformation, and CFS – seem intimately intertwined in my case.
Dark night
The side-effects of awakening and transformation are also what I have experienced over the last many years as a side-effect of the awakening and transformation process. I went into a very challenging dark night of the soul 15+ years ago with health problems, old trauma surfacing, strong brain fog, loss of house and belongings, and so on, stripping away just about anything parts of my psyche had relied on to feel good about this human life.
Healing session side-effects
When I receive Vortex Healing sessions for myself (from myself or others), it has sometimes destabilized my system to a strong degree – especially if I work on emotional issues. A lot of buried materials come to the surface, often very strongly, and it’s difficult to gracefully navigate and deal with.
Witch dream
When I was little, I had a recurrent dream of going up the ladder to the attic, everything disappearing, falling down through black space, and into a witch’s cauldron. Before I fell into it (and woke up), I saw her looking up at me grinning. Recurrent childhood dreams often reflect a thread going through life, a lifelong issue or theme. In my case, it may be a challenging relationship with the feminine due to my mother and intergenerational trauma. (I have had close and good friendships with women, but romantic relationships have been more challenging and have often felt off.)
This is the dark version of the witch, the one that has been promoted by domination culture to discredit (and give form to fear of) wise women in connection with nature and the body.
In my dream last night, the witches are my guides, helpers, and life-savers. This is the healthy form of the witch, women in deep connection with nature and the processes of nature.
EarthWorks
The EarthWorks classes in London seemed deeply transforming. I feel I have a different energy system and others sense the same. The EarthWorks community is similar in feel to the community in the dream.
Barichara
The community in the dream also feels a little bit similar to the regeneration and Earth-centered community in Barichara, where we have our finca and live part time right now.
The companion
In the dream, a woman takes me to the healer. She sees what’s going on, have perspective, and takes me to someone who can help. I have especially one friend in my life like that (KL), and my wife sometimes takes that role as well.
The healers
I have had many healers in my life, and these days mostly through Vortex Healing.
Partnership orientation
The dream reflects a partnership orientation – with the community, Earth and natural processes, and in the approach to healing. The two healers use a deep partnership orientation in their healing. This is something I have focused on recently with the Long Journey Home project.
My wife
My wife was with me in the community. This is a process we are sharing – the community, the classes, the process.
ALL MIRRORING ME
Dreams not only have connections with waking life, they also reflect me.
Everything in a dream is me and mirror parts and dynamics of my psyche.
The side-effects are easy to understand since they are here in my system.
The community in the dream is my inner community. In the dream, it’s relatively new in my life. My current inner community may have taken shape more recently too, and I suspect the Vortex Healing classes I have taken over the last few weeks (MI, EarthWorks 1&2) have been an important part of it – along with the ongoing explorations I engage in.
A woman takes me to the healer. Is she a friend, is this her role, or both? My sense is both. What parts of me takes me to my inner feminine guide and healer? It’s a part that notices, is able to see and understand what’s going on, and takes action to bring me to my more wise parts. It’s a part that’s able to detach from habitual patterns and comes from clarity, overview, and kindness.
The two healers are also part of me. I have parts of my psyche dedicated to guiding and supporting me through the process, and two of them take a more feminine form and they specialize in helping me with different things. Sometimes, one approach is more helpful (maybe through inquiry, the mind, understanding), other times, another approach is more helpful (somatic, felt, noticing). In the dream, they are professional and kind.
I have taken time to connect with and thank them this morning, and also now as I write this. I am very grateful for their presence.

Guided Through Transformation: Two Female Healers
This dream carries strong themes of guidance, healing, transformation, and deep connection to wisdom. Below is an interpretation based purely on the dream itself:
Community as a Symbol of Belonging and Support
The dream begins with a connection to a new community that feels permanent and deeply aligned with life and the earth. This suggests an integration into a space or mindset that offers wisdom, stability, and a sense of purpose. The community represents a sanctuary of understanding, where the forces at play are grounded in ancient knowledge and natural rhythms.
The fact that your wife is also part of this connection suggests that this transition is not an isolated journey, but one that includes deep partnerships and shared growth. This could reflect a transformation that is occurring not just on an individual level, but within relationships as well.
The Two Healers: Feminine Wisdom and Balance
The presence of two women healers (witches) is significant. Witches often symbolize deep, ancient wisdom, intuitive power, and a connection to the natural and unseen forces of life. These women are dedicated to helping you through a challenging transformation, which implies a necessary process of release, renewal, and integration.
The fact that there are two of them suggests balance, duality, or different complementary approaches to healing. They may represent two aspects of wisdom—one gentle and nurturing, the other more direct and catalytic. They could also reflect two different phases or aspects of healing: one might focus on soothing and grounding, while the other works on deeper restructuring.
The Process of Discomfort and Healing
Your descent into discomfort and disorientation signals a crucial part of the transformation process—one where you are confronted with the chaotic, difficult aspects of change. This could be symbolic of personal struggles, deep psychological shifts, or even the “breaking down” phase that often precedes renewal.
The presence of a guide who brings you to one of the healers suggests that even in moments of deep uncertainty, there is support available—whether through intuition, spiritual guidance, or external helpers. The act of being guided and helped until you feel much better represents the restoration of balance and the idea that healing is not only possible but actively unfolding.
The Alternation Between the Two Healers
The fact that they take turns helping you depending on your needs highlights an ongoing, cyclical nature of healing. Transformation is not a linear process—it requires different energies at different times. Some challenges may require deep, shadowy work, while others need nurturing and stabilization. This dream acknowledges that healing is a dynamic exchange, always adjusting to what is needed in the moment.
Overarching Themes
- Transformation & Initiation – The discomfort and need for healing suggest a passage through an initiatory phase, where profound shifts are happening within.
- Guidance & Support – You are not alone in this process; there are wise forces (internal or external) ready to assist when you surrender to the process.
- The Feminine as a Healing Force – The witches embody deep, intuitive, and nature-connected wisdom. They symbolize aspects of healing that are beyond intellectual understanding—rooted in embodied experience, cycles, and connection to the unseen.
- A New Foundation – The dream suggests that after undergoing this phase of healing, you emerge into a place of greater clarity and alignment, with the foundation of a strong, lasting community.
This dream is a powerful vision of transformation, guided healing, and connection to deep wisdom. It suggests that while discomfort may arise during the process, the right energies and guidance are present to help navigate it.
