If I’ve learned anything, it’s that your art is not necessarily good or bad, but either for someone or not for someone.

That’s how I see it too.
Of course, there is the skill aspect of art, and the better the skills the more able you may be to express what you wish to express, and have it appreciated by more people.
At the same time, art is more essentially about a match. Is there a match with someone? If so, then the technical quality is secondary.
If we are doing it for ourselves, for our own sake, to satisfy something in us, then there is already a match, the most important match, which is with ourselves. Anything else is icing on the cake.
