I have written about this beautiful song before, and was drawn to revisit it.
It’s easy to see this song as written by someone who has had a spiritual opening experience.
We stand in the Atlantic
We become panoramic
We become panoramic. Our eye is one. We become the consciousness this ocean and the whole world and universe
happens within and as. This is an experience I think many have at some point in their life, and often in the vastness of nature and with the stars above.
That’s how it first happened for me in late childhood or early teens – sleeping out under the stars in the panoramic mountains in Norway (Sølen). That night, I became panoramic. All was happening within me and as me. All was revealed as consciousness. All was revealed as more home than I ever imagined anything could be. (And later, that “I” falls away too.)
And then there is another thing we notice in an awakening.
All the time it’s a changing, like now
All the time it’s a changing, like then again
All the time it’s a changing
And all the dreamers are waking
Yes, everything is always changing. It’s all alive, consciousness, new. When we wake up from the dream of separation and solid matter being only that, it’s immediately clear that all is changing. All is fresh and new in immediacy.
