When I make choices from fear, and act on them, life is kind and gives feedback.
There is a staleness. Deadening. Loss of vitality.
Everything may look good on the surface, it seems right in a conventional sense, but it feels wrong deeper down.
And at this point, I can chose to listen and make a different choice, or make a choice to stay with the original choice and act on fear again.
What is going on here? Why do we sometimes make choices from and act on fear?
When I act from fear, I act from a belief. And that belief is really a defense against fear, it comes from resisting and fearing fear. It is a way to try to find safety. A way to avoid looking at what I am fearing, and find more clarity around it. Beliefs is what fills the gap where clarity could be.
So when I notice the symptoms of choosing from fear, I can take that as a reminder to go in a little closer, be more honest with myself, and find more clarity around it.
And when I act from that clarity, there may be difficulties on the surface, and it may not make complete sense in a conventional sense, but it still feels deeply right. There is a deep sense of alignment there.
