I just watched One to One: John & Yoko, a time capsule and glimpse into their social engagement in 1972-73. It’s also a reminder that the same dynamics are still very much at play today in society and within each of us.
Empire is still very much here. The mindset of empire is internalized in all of us, regardless of whether we consciously and actively join in with it or not. The resistance is here. And those identifying, examining, and undoing the mindset of empire in themselves are still very much here. (That undoing is also an undoing of any and all identities, including those in opposition to empire.)
